Gene Kersey lived 98 years working and living in the Peterstown Community. She loved, history and her home was a show place when passing on Rt. 219. She loved restoring her home and the two story white house with black shutters with pots of red geraniums was a show place. Gene was very talented and loved to craft with her hands. The sale has many vintage ceramics which include a large ceramic Santa, 2 ceramic Christmas trees, an NOEL letters with matching candle holder an many more pieces. Gene pieced many quilts, did beautiful embroidery, latch hook rugs, needle point, etc.
Mrs. Kersey loved anything wood. She purchased and had many items made from Wood Whittlers in Gatlinburg, Tenn. Hand carved Wooden Fruit, Lamps, tables, coffee table, side tables,, Mid Century cattail sculpture, just to mention a few pieces. She also bought many other wood craft items from local craftsmen. Gene collected an lovingly restored antique oak furniture, dressers, chairs, an has a large secretary. Other offerings of interest are Historical Peterstown Photographs including the old Peterstown School, post cards, panorama of town and others. A Mid Century Moon & Star pole lamp - amber color, Seneca glass set, amber Fostoria Coin glass oil lamp with shade.
