Andrew S. Monti moved from New Jersey to Summers County, West Virginia, nearly 20 years ago. The town of Hinton became his life long home as he had a vision to become a philanthropic and contributing member of the community. He focused his energy and income on bettering the county, spending numerous hours restoring vacant, dilapidated rental buildings - while providing decent housing and employment to many. He also had a passion for enhancing the green spaces throughout the town of Hinton. A kind soul to many he contributed his generosity - even at his death. In addition to his lifetime giving, his legacy will be remembered by the gifting of a majority of his estate to two organizations that contribute to the lives of children. He passionately collected items from a wide and eclectic variety of eras and genres including: Sports cars, corn shellers, art, glassware, vintage bicycles, mid century modern items, antique tools and farming equipment, coal mining artwork, antique refrigerators and dental chairs.
